Top 5 stocks outperforming Sensex
Sensex has been moving downwards since October 2021 but did consist of stocks that outperformed the index. Here is the list of the top five stocks that outperformed Sensex.
The S&P BSE Sensex has been consistently sliding down from the top of 62,245.43 forming lower tops and lower bottoms pattern. We cannot term it as a trend reversal as the index is still trading above its 100-Day and 200-Day Exponential Moving Average (EMA). Moreover, we haven’t seen any negative crossover, of these moving averages. Even the technical indicators such as the Relative Strength Index (RSI) is showing weakness while it trades at 46.88 which is near its 9-Day EMA of 45.13.
Therefore, at present on the downside 56,382.93 – 56,867.51 – 57766.48 acts as a crucial support level and on the upside, 59314.18 – 60,005.96 – 60,990.86 levels would act as resistance for the index. Indeed, the market is quite volatile and the detection of the new coronavirus variant accompanied with the pricy valuations have led markets under pressure. Although, the long-term prospects seem to be favourable, in the short-term the markets would be dicey and hence, you should have a stock-specific approach.
Having said that, despite volatility and markets moving down, some stocks are forming the part of S&P BSE Sensex that have outperformed the index. To calculate the performance of the stocks over the index, we have calculated the returns for the period since the markets witnessed the recent fall.
