List of top 5 gainers and losers in the midcap and smallcap segment for the week from February 03, 2022, to February 09, 2023.

The frontline index S&P BSE Sensex stood flat, declining by 0.06% or 35.66 points during the week and closed at 60,806.22 on February 09, 2023.

However, S&P BSE Midcap ended in green during the week gaining 1.77% and closing at  

24,881.65. The S&P BSE Smallcap also ended at 28,127.41 gaining 0.95%.

PB Fintech Ltd, also known as Policy Bazaar is India’s largest online platform for insurance and lending products. Shares of new-age internet companies have rallied for the week supported by heavy volumes, on expectation of improvement in financial performance.

The laggards of the midcap segment were led by Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Ltd. Shares of this telecom company fell by 10.65% from Rs 77.5 to Rs 69.25. The company announced its quarterly results for Q3FY23 on Tuesday. Net loss narrowed to Rs 279.79 crore compared to Rs 302.30 crore from previous year’s same quarter. Revenue from operations marginally dipped and stood at Rs 281.90 crore from Rs 284.22 crore.

The losers of small cap space were led by Timex Group India Ltd. The shares of Timex Group India Ltd fell from Rs 144.3 to Rs 119.7 registering a loss of 17.05% in the stock price. The company announced its quarterly results on February 2. The company’s revenue rose by 29.58% YoY and stood at Rs 84.64 crore from Rs 65.32 crore. However, net loss increased to Rs 6.69 crore compared to Rs 5.10 crore from previous year’s same quarter.
