At 10:50 am, the S&P BSE Sensex is up 0.65% and trading at 60505.79, while NIFTY50 is trading at 18053, 0.65% higher on the day. Regarding sectoral performance, Consumer Durables is the top gainer, while Oil & Gas is the top loser. Talking about stock-specific action, Valiant Organics Ltd is the biggest gainer in the BSE group ‘A’.
The shares of Valiant Organics Ltd have increased by 13% and are trading at Rs 816.1 as of 10:50 am. The stock opened at Rs 754 and so far, has made an intraday high and low of Rs 828.35 and Rs 754, respectively.
Valiant Organics Ltd is involved in the business of manufacturing agro intermediate and pharma-based chemicals. It is among the global leader in the production of chlorophenol and benzene derivatives. It operates six manufacturing plants in five different locations, with a total annual production capacity of 70,000 tonnes.
Clients of Valiant Organics include companies in the pharmaceutical, dyes and pigments, speciality chemicals, and agrochemicals industries. According to FY22, agrochemicals accounted for 40% of total revenue, while dyes and pigments accounted for 29%, pharmaceuticals accounted for 17%, and speciality chemicals accounted for the remaining 14%.
The company's financials have grown significantly over the last ten years. The CAGRs for sales and net profit over a 10-year period were 40% and 39%, respectively. In terms of FY22 performance, consolidated revenue was Rs 1153 crore, up 53% from Rs 755 crore in FY21. However, net profit in FY22 fell to Rs 128 crore from Rs 131 crore in FY21.
The company has a market capitalisation of Rs 2238 crore and is trading at a PE multiple of 21.78x. The scrip has a 52-week high and low of Rs 1674.5 and Rs 504.5, respectively.
