This PSU power trading company to supply 600 megawatt of power in Bhutan

The company holds a Category I license, the highest category with permission to trade unlimited volumes.

PTC India has entered into an agreement with Bhutan's electricity utility firm Druk Green Power Corporation to supply 600 MW of power to the neighbouring country during the winter season.

Moreover, Bhutan has also executed an agreement with the settlement nodal agency for the settlement of grid operation-related charges. With all requisite approvals, Bhutan will now start procuring up to 600 MW of power through PTC from the Indian power market.

PTC India is engaged in the business of power trading business. The companies’ main segments are Power trading, Advisory Services, Renewable Energy and Investments. The company supplies power to 27 states and union territories. It has over 500 industrial (retail) customers. The company has achieved volume growth of over 14% in the last 6 years and dominant market player with about 40% market share in total traded power.

Today, the stock opened at Rs 79.30 with a high and low of Rs 82.50 and Rs 78.10. The stock previously closed at Rs 79.55. Today it closed trading at Rs 78.65, down by 1.13%.

In the last six months, the shares of the company have given 9.59% returns and on a YTD basis, the stock has given -29.08 returns.

The stock has a 52-week high of Rs 114.75 and a 52-week low of Rs 67.75. The company has a ROCE of 9.87% and an ROE of 11.0% with a market capitalisation of Rs 2,328 crore.
