This mid-cap finance and investment company registered a huge jump of 61% in its client base

The company is primarily engaged in the business of stocks, commodities and currency and its client base has increased this year by 61% compared to last year.

On Wednesday, shares of the company opened at Rs 1,349.00 and made the day high at Rs 1,366.25 a piece.

Angel One reported a 60.7% increase in clients from December 2021 to December 2022, from 7.78 million to 12.51 million. The number of customers served by the corporation increased 2.6% month over month (MoM) from 12.19 million in November 2022. However, compared to December 2021, when it was 0.46 million, gross client acquisition dropped 29% to 0.33 million.

The overall average daily turnover (ADTO) increased by 133.3% from December 2021 to December 2022 to reach Rs 16,39,900 crore. In December 2022, the average daily F&O segment revenue was Rs 16,06,500 crore. The average daily turnover for the cash segment was Rs 3500 crore during the same period, and for the commodity segment, it was Rs 17600 crore in December 2022.

Angel One Ltd, a diversified financial services company, include stock, commodity, and currency trading, institutional trading, the provision of margin trading services, the distribution of mutual funds, lending as an NBFC, and acting as corporate agents for insurance companies. Under the name "Angel Broking," the business offers its clients brokerage and consulting services, margin finance, loans against shares (via one of its subsidiaries, AFPL), and distribution of financial products.

The 52-week high of the stock is Rs 2,022 whereas the 52-week low was Rs 1,065.85. Promoters of the company are holding a 43.71% stake in the company whereas the institutional and non-institutional holdings are 20.98% and 35.32%, respectively. Presently, the market cap of the company stands at Rs 11,088.35 crore.
