FDC, La Opala RG, Ambuja Cement have witnessed volume burst in the last 75 minutes of the trade.

As the saying goes, the first, as well as the last hour of each trading session, is the most important and active in terms of price & volume.

More so, the activity in the last hour is said to be of utmost importance because most of the pro-traders and institutions are active at this time. Hence, when a stock sees a good spike in volume in the last leg of the trade along with price rise, it is considered a pro, and institutions have a keen interest in the stock. Market participants should keep a close watch on these stocks as they can witness good momentum in the short to medium-term.

So, based on this principle, we have shortlisted three stocks that have witnessed volume burst in the last leg of the trade along with price rise.

FDC: The stock soared 5.21% on Monday. It traded positively amid volatility throughout the day and gained strong momentum towards the end. In the last 75 minutes, the stock gained nearly 4% and recorded a huge volume during the process. The volume was found to be greater than the 10-day and 30-day average volume. Along with this, the stock closed above its prior swing high, and thus, it is likely to be traded heavily with a positive bias in the coming days.

La Opala RG: The scrip surged 4% today. Most of this gain was recorded in the last hour when strong buying interest propelled the stock higher. Also, about 60% of the total day’s volume was recorded during this period. The volumes have been above average for the past few days, which indicates the accumulation phase. Such positivity is likely to attract traders.

Ambuja Cement: The stock gained 3.73% at the end of the day. After consolidating for the past few days, the stock witnessed strong buying interest, and it closed at the day’s high. Volumes continued to build as the day progressed. Thus, the stock will be under the trader’s radar for some more time.
