Sun Pharma Advanced Research Company, Aegis Logistics, and Castrol India have witnessed volume burst in the last 75 minutes of the trade.

As the saying goes, the first, as well as the last hour of each trading session, is the most important and active in terms of price & volume.

More so, the activity in the last hour is said to be of utmost importance because most of the pro-traders and institutions are active at this time. Hence, when a stock sees a good spike in volume in the last leg of the trade along with price rise, it is considered a pro, and institutions have a keen interest in the stock. Market participants should keep a close watch on these stocks as they can witness good momentum in the short to medium-term.

So, based on this principle, we have shortlisted three stocks that have witnessed volume burst in the last leg of the trade along with price rise.

Sun Pharma Advanced Research Company (SPARC): The stock traded flat for most part of the trading session but saw strong institutional activity towards the end. It jumped over 5% in the last 75 minutes and recorded massive volumes. Over 70% of the day’s volume was recorded during this period. Interestingly, volumes have been elevated from the past few days, which indicates strong buying interest. One can keep this stock on their watchlist as it is expected to trend positively in the upcoming days.

Aegis Logistics: The scrip traded positively right from the start of the session. In the last hour, it witnessed strong buying and it rose nearly 2% supported by good volumes. The volume recorded today has been greater than the 10-day and 30-day average volume. Moreover, the stock closed at a day’s high which is a positive indication of a strong trend in times to come.

Castrol India: Castrol jumped over 3% on Monday. Despite opening lower, it formed a strong bullish candle on the technical chart. The stock continued to gain momentum in the last hour and closed nearly at the day’s high. The volumes have been above average and indicate strong participation. It is likely to be on the trader’s radar for upcoming trading sessions.
