These stocks are likely to be in focus on January 21
On Thursday, the Indian equity market depicted weakness for the third day in a row on the back of FIIs' selling, rising US bond yields, and concerns of inflation.
At close, the Sensex dropped by 634.20 points or 1.06% ending at 59,464.62 level and the Nifty squeezed by 181.40 points or 1.01% settling at 17,757 level.
The top five gainers on Nifty on Thursday were Power grid Corporation of India, Bharati Airtel, Grasim Industries, JSW Steel and Tata Consumer. Whereas the top 5 losers were Bajaj Finserv, Bajaj Auto, Divis Laboratories, Infosys and TCS.
Except for power, realty and metal, all other sectoral indices were trading in the red with auto, IT, FMCG and pharma indices down 0.8-1.7%. In the broader markets, BSE midcap and smallcap indices ended flat.
These stocks are likely to be in focus for Friday’s trading session:
Bajaj Finserv – The company declared its quarterly results for Q3FY22. Bajaj Finserv has posted 2.6% fall in its Q3 net profit at Rs 1,256 crore against Rs 1,289 crore and revenue was up 10.2% at Rs 17,587 crore versus Rs 15,958 crore, YoY. On Thursday, Bajaj Finserv ended the trading session at Rs 17,259.95, down 4.58% on the BSE.
Natco Pharma – The company announced that it has signed a non-exclusive licenses agreement with the Medicines Patent Pool (MPP), Switzerland. Natco with this license agreement can manufacture and sell molnupiravir Capsules 200 mg for the Indian market, which will be sold under the brand name MOLNUNAT ® for treatment of Covid 19 infection with Sp02>93% and who have a high risk of progression of the disease including hospitalization or death.
52-week high stocks – From the BSE 200 pack, the stocks of ABB India, Adani Green, Adani Transmission, Tata Elxsi and Proctor & Gamble Hygiene & Healthcare have hit their 52-week high price on Thursday.
