These stocks are likely to be in focus on January 14
On Thursday, the frontline equity indices, i.e., Sensex and Nifty were almost flat at the closing bell.
In market close, the Sensex was up by 85.26 points or 0.14% at 61,235.30 and the Nifty was up by 45.45 points or 0.25% at 18,257.80. On the BSE, about 1737 shares have advanced, 1681 shares declined, and 81 shares are unchanged.

TVS Motor Company Limited: The company has announced a strategic partnership with Swiggy, India’s leading on-demand delivery platform on Thursday. The partnership is an extension of the mutual commitment between the companies towards increasing the share of Electric Vehicles in food delivery and on-demand delivery services. This MoU will also test the implementation of TVS Motor’s EV for food delivery and other on-demand services of Swiggy. The scrip was up by 0.86% at Rs 660.25, at market close.
Adani Enterprises Limited: POSCO and the Adani Group have agreed to explore business cooperation opportunities, including the establishment of a green, environment-friendly Integrated Steel Mill at Mundra, Gujarat, as well as other businesses. The investment is estimated to be up to USD 5 Billion. The non-binding MoU signed between POSCO and Adani intends to further collaborate at the group business level in various industries such as renewable energy, hydrogen, and logistics in response to carbon reduction requirements. The shares of Adani Enterprises were at Rs 1853.95, up by 1.31% on the BSE.
Sun Pharmaceutical Industries: Shares of Sun Pharmaceutical Industries hit an over five-year high at Rs 871, up 4% on the BSE on Thursday. The expectation of good earnings growth is the reason behind the price surge. It surpassed its previous high of Rs 860, touched on January 3, 2022. In the past month, Sun Pharma has outperformed the market, by surging 14%, on expectations that complex drug approvals in the US, outperformance in the domestic formulations, and incremental gains from anti-Covid launches in India will boost its top line. The scrip was up by 3.50% at Rs 865.75 at market close on Thursday.
52-week high stocks – From the BSE 200 pack, Polycab, Adani Transport, Sun Pharmaceuticals, Larsen and Toubro, Adani Green Energy, and SRF have hit their 52-week high on Thursday.
