At close, the Sensex was down by 12.17 points or 0.02% 57,794.32, and the Nifty was down by 9.65 points or 0.06 % at 17,203.95.
NTPC, HCL Technologies, Cipla, IndusInd Bank, and Dr Reddy’s Laboratories were among the top Nifty gainers. Losers included Bajaj Auto, Reliance Industries, UPL, JSW Steel, and Tata Steel.

Firstsource Solutions: Firstsource Solutions Limited a leading provider of business process management (BPM) services and an RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group company, announced it has entered into an agreement to acquire American Recovery Services, Inc. (ARSI), a nationwide legal collections network headquartered in Southern California. With this acquisition, Firstsource will be able to lead in consumer debt management services in a better way. As it will also add legal stage collections capabilities to their services basket. The stock ended 0.44% higher at the market close on Thursday.
ITC: The Paperboards and Specialty Papers Division (PSPD) of ITC has collaborated with Invest India to launch the ‘ITC Sustainability Innovation Challenge’ to support innovative start-up ideas on sustainable packaging and smart waste management solutions. The company informed that this partnership will enable ITC-PSPD to take advantage of the country's 'rich start-up repertoire' as well as provide support to the start-up ecosystem. The shares of ITC ended at a 0.35% discount at Rs 216 per share at market close on Thursday.
Tech Mahindra: The shares of IT consulting and software giant Tech Mahindra on Thursday hit a consecutive 52-week high after closing at Rs 1786.65 per share on BSE, the previous day. Tech Mahindra shares traded at Rs 1837.75 per share, a fresh high, for the fourth time on Thursday. The share price ended at 1800.55, up by 0.78% at market close.
