On Tuesday, Benchmark indices ended lower in the volatile session on Wednesday with the Nifty settling below the 17300 level.

At close, the Sensex was down 329.06 points or 0.57% at 57,788.03, and the Nifty was down 103.50 points or 0.60% at 17,221.40. About 1546 shares have advanced, 1574 shares declined, and 90 shares are unchanged.

Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserv, Adani Ports, ITC and ONGC were among the top Nifty losers. Gainers included Sun Pharma, Kotak Mahindra Bank, M&M, Hero MotoCorp and Maruti Suzuki.

Apart from BSE Auto, all other sectoral indices ended in the red, with IT, metal, realty and PSU bank indices down 1% each.

In the broader markets, BSE midcap index fell 0.6% whereas BSE smallcap index slipped 0.35%.

Watch out for these stocks for Thursday's trading session:

TVS Motor Company - TVS Motor Company and BMW Motorrad announced that they are extending and expanding their long-term partnership with the joint development of new platforms and future technologies, including Electric Vehicles, as per the company's press release. The share of TVS Motors has closed 1.4 per cent higher in Wednesday's trading session.

NTPC – NTPC Limited has awarded a project of ‘Standalone Fuel-Cell based Micro-grid with hydrogen production using electrolyser’ at NTPC Simhadri (Andhra Pradesh). This will be India’s first Green Hydrogen based Energy Storage Project. It would be a precursor to large scale hydrogen energy storage projects and would be useful for studying and deploying multiple microgrids in various off-grid and strategic locations of the country. The stock has traded flat in Wednesday's trading session.

52-week high stocks – From the BSE 200 pack, the stocks of Adani Transmission & Gas, Adani Green and Torrent Power and Zee Entertainment Enterprises have hit their 52-week high prices on Wednesday. Keep a watch on these stocks for Thursday's trading session.
