Nifty 50 started higher on the back of strong global trends. In this post, we have highlighted the top stocks that are experiencing a solid price volume breakout.

In comparison to its Friday closing of 17,859.45, the Nifty 50 began higher on Monday at 17,952.55. This happened as a result of strong global trends. Leading Wall Street indices closed the day higher on Friday on expectations that the US Federal Reserve will reduce the rate at which it raises interest rates. At the time of writing, the futures of these major indices are trading in the green.

On Friday, Nasdaq Composite gained 2.56%, Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 2.13%, and S&P 500 rose 2.28%. Even Asian market indices followed Wall Street's upbeat close, trading almost higher.

Nifty 50 was trading at 18,085.25 at 11:00 a.m., up 225.8 points or 1.26%. Despite trading in the green, broader market indices were trading in line with frontline indices. Nifty Mid-Cap 100 index rose 0.87%, while Nifty Small-Cap 100 index climbed 0.98%.

On the BSE, the advance-decline ratio was positive, with 2379 stocks rising, 987 falling, and 168 staying unchanged. All sectors traded in the green, with IT, metals, and auto leading the way.

According to January 6 statistics, FIIs were net sellers while DIIs were net purchasers. Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) sold Rs 2,902.46 crore worth of shares. Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) invested Rs 1,083.17 crore in shares.
