Cipla – The company has announced that its Indore Oral Solid Dosage (OSD) plant has been designated by the World Economic Forum as an ‘Advanced Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) Lighthouse’. This is the first Cipla facility to receive coveted recognition. The organisation is amongst the first pharmaceutical companies in India and Asia and one of the few generic pharmaceutical companies in the world to be part of the Global Lighthouse Network.
The Global Lighthouse Network is an exclusive community of manufacturing leaders from across sectors who depict an accelerated adoption of 4IR technologies to transform factories, value chains and business models for resilience, growth and sustainability.
Marksans Pharma – The company has entered into a business transfer agreement with Tevapharm India Private Limited, to acquire its business relating to the manufacture and supply of bulk pharmaceutical formulations in Verna Industrial Estate, Verna, Goa, India, as a going concern on a slump sale basis. Marksans has agreed to retain the site employees with existing terms of employment. The transaction is in cash consideration and is expected to be finalized by April 1, 2023, subject to the usual closing conditions.
Brigade Enterprises - As part of the company’s systematic succession planning, the Board of Directors of Brigade Enterprises Limited has inter alia considered and approved the appointment of Pavitra Shankar, who is presently Executive Director as Managing Director of the Company for five years with effect from 12 October 2022. The board in addition approved the appointment of Nirupa Shankar who is presently an Executive Director as Joint Managing Director for five years effective 12 October 2022. This will be subject to shareholder approval.
ITD Cementation India – The company has informed the bourses that it has secured orders worth Rs 1,755 crore.
