The Indian benchmark indices were trading higher with BSE Auto Index being the top-gaining sectoral indices whereas BSE Healthcare Index being the top-losing sector. 

On Tuesday, the benchmark indices were trading higher with Sensex up around 214 points or 0.35% at 61,978 and the Nifty trading up by 70 points or 0.37% at 18,329. 

About 2,082 shares have advanced, 1,196 have declined and 135 were unchanged on BSE. 

Top Gainer & Losers on BSE: 

Tata Motors, Bajaj FinServ and IndusInd Bank were the top Sensex gainers today, while ITC, State Bank of India and Sun Pharmaceuticals were the top Sensex loser. 

The indices traded in a higher manner in the broader markets, with the BSE Mid-cap index up by 0.66% and the BSE Small-cap index up by 0.42%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers are Indraprastha Gas and Varun Beverages Ltd, while the top small-cap gainers were Jindal Poly Films Ltd and Venus Pipes & Tubes Ltd.

The indices were trading mixed on the sectoral front, with the BSE Auto Index leading the gainers and BSE Healthcare Index being the losing sector. The BSE Auto Index soared by 1%, led by Unominda and Tata Motors whereas BSE Healthcare Index plunged by 0.05% dragged down by Artemis Medicare Services and Glenmark Life Sciences Ltd.  

In the pre-opening session, these 3 stocks were trending: Ugar Sugar Works, Mahanagar Gas Ltd and Brightcom Group Ltd.
