The Indian benchmark indices were trading lower with BSE Telecommunication Index shining among all the sectoral indices, up by 1.27%.

On Monday, the benchmark indices were trading lower with Sensex down around 145 points or 0.25% at 58,838.98, and the Nifty trading down by 40 points or 0.20% at 17,326

Top Gainer & Losers on BSE:

Maruti Suzuki, NTPC and Bajaj FinServ were the top Sensex gainers today, while Tech Mahindra, Infosys, and Hindustan Unilever were the top Sensex loser.

The indices traded in a higher manner in the broader markets, with the BSE Mid-cap index surging by 0.19% and the BSE Small-cap index surging by 0.95%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers are GMR Airport Infra and Oil India, while the top small-cap gainers were Andhra Petroleum and V2 Retail.

The indices were trading mixed on the sectoral front, with the BSE Telecommunication Index leading the gainers and BSE FMCG Index leading the losers. The BSE Telecommunication Index soared by 1.27%, led by Tata Teleservices and Tejas Network while the BSE FMCG Index plunged by 0.59%, dragged down by Adani Wilmar and Patanjali Foods.
