The Indian benchmark indices were trading lower with BSE FMCG Index being the top gaining sectoral indices.

On Monday, the benchmark indices were trading lower with Sensex down around 779 points or 1.30% at 60,210 and the Nifty trading up by 205 points or 1.13% at 17,631.75.

Top Gainer & Losers on BSE:

Power Grid Corporation, Nestle India and Ultratech Cement were the top Sensex gainers today, while HCL Technologies, Infosys and Tech Mahindra were the top Sensex loser.

The broader markets also traded lower with the BSE Mid-cap index plunging by 0.10% and the BSE Small-cap index surging by 0.25%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers are Oil India and Tin India, while the top small-cap gainers were HLE Glascoat and KIOCL.

The indices were trading mixed on the sectoral front, with the BSE FMCG Index leading the gainers and BSE IT Index leading the losers. The BSE FMCG Index soared by 1% each, led by Gujarat Ambuja Exports and Britannia India and whereas BSE IT Index plunged 5.45% dragged down by Infosys and LTI Mindtree.
