Domestic benchmark indices were trading higher with the BSE Mid-cap index up 0.65% and the BSE Small cap index up 0.69%

On Tuesday, the benchmark indices were trading higher with Sensex up around 282 points or 0.46% at 61,394 and the Nifty trading up by 83 points or 0.45% at 18,150. About 2,179 shares have advanced, 1,314 declined, and 136 are unchanged on the BSE. 

Top gainers and losers On BSE Sensex Index are as follows: 
The top Sensex gainers were Tech Mahindra, Tata Steel and Maruti Suzuki whereas the top Sensex losers were Sun Pharmaceuticals, Kotak Mahindra Bank and Tata Motors.

The BSE Metals Index was the top gaining among the sectorial indices and BSE Telecommunication Index was the top losing sector. The BSE Metals Index soared 2%, led by Tata Steel and Jindal Steel while the BSE Telecommunication Index was down 0.10% dragged down by Tata Communication and Vodafone Idea.
