List of Top 10 Penny Stocks: These Shares Gained Up To 5% on Thursday, February 17

Today, the Indian market closed with a red mark. BSE Power index is the top gainer whereas, BSE Bankex is the top loser.

In a volatile trading session, the Indian equity market closed on a flat-negative note. Besides, the majority of the sectoral indices ended the day with a red mark.

In today’s trade, Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex indices closed down by 17.60 points i.e., 0.10% and 104.67 points i.e., 0.18%, respectively. Despite strong support from stocks like Reliance Industries Ltd, HDFC Ltd and Hindustan Unilever Ltd, the indices were dragged down at the end with HDFC Bank Ltd, ICICI Bank Ltd and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd pulling the index down. This was after the Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex opened up by 0.43% and 0.38%, respectively from the previous close.

Among BSE equity indices, S&P BSE Power, S&P BSE Utilities, S&P BSE FMCG and S&P BSE Sensex next 50 Index are top gainers. S&P BSE Power was up by 1.97% with a great upward movement from Adani Greens Ltd, Adani Transmission Ltd, Adani Power Ltd, Siemens Ltd, JSW Energy Ltd, ABB India Ltd and Torrent Power Ltd despite the drag from Tata Power and BHEL.

In today’s trade, S&P BSE BANKEX, S&P BSE Healthcare Index and S&P BSE Telecom are top losers. S&P BSE BANKEX was the major loser today (-1.15%) with ICICI Bank Ltd, Axis Bank Ltd, Federal Bank Ltd, IndusInd Bank Ltd, Bank of Baroda Ltd, State Bank of India Ltd, HDFC Bank Ltd and AU Small Finance Bank Ltd leading the drag, while none of its components were in the green.
