List of Penny Stocks: Penny Stocks Those Were Locked in the Upper Circuit on Wednesday, March 09

At 10.30 am on Wednesday, headline indices Sensex and Nifty were trading higher as the Indian Government successfully evacuates its citizens trapped in Sumy, Ukraine.

The Sensex was at 53,919.8 up by 1,231.29 points or 0.93%, and the Nifty was again above 16,000 points at 16,142.60, up by 129.15 points or 0.81%.

The top gainers in the Sensex pack are Tech Mahindra, Reliance Industries, Sun Pharmaceuticals, Adani Ports, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories. Whereas, the top losers are Shree Cements, Power Grid Corporation of India, Kotak Mahindra Bank, NTPC, and JSW Steel.

The Nifty Midcap 100 index is trading at 27,528.50 and is up by 1.21%. The top three gainers of the index were Indian Hotels Company, Trent, and Tata Elxsi. Each of these scrips was up by more than 4%. Similarly, the top 3 stocks dragging the index down were Gujarat Gas, Gujarat State Petronet, and Mahanagar Gas.

The Nifty Smallcap 100 index is trading at 9,844.30 up by 1.52%. The top 3 gainers of the index are IOL Chemicals, Aegis Logistics, and SpiceJet. Each of these scrips was up by more than 10%. The top stocks pulling the index down are Bajaj Electricals, Bule Star, and Carborundum Universal.

Nifty IT, Nifty Pharma, Nifty Media and Nifty Healthcare were up by more than 1.5%, in the morning with only Nifty Metal being in the red and was down by 0.77%.
