Dolly Khanna has been a name which has come into prominence in the last few years. Her large capital comes from the family’s stake in Kwality Ice Creams which they had exited and the corpus has been invested in equities.

Since then, Dolly Khanna portfolio has become quite popular especially for the small cap stocks that she has been able to identify in the last few years. Many of her stocks in the recent past have turned out to be multi baggers and that has attracted a lot of investor interest in her portfolio strategy.

Let us look at the fresh addition of stocks to her portfolio in the Mar-22 quarter. There have been 6 new stock additions in Q4 as under.

1) Dolly Khanna bought 1.4% stake in Sharda Cropchem during the Mar-22 quarter adding 12.44 lakh shares worth Rs.77.40 crore.

2) Dolly Khanna also purchased 1.5% stake in Sandur Manganese and Iron Ores Ltd during the Mar-22 quarter adding 1.38 lakh shares worth Rs.54.90 crore.

3) She also bought 1.1% stake in Nahar Spinning Mills during the Mar-22 quarter adding 3.82 lakh shares worth Rs.19.9 crore.

4) Dolly Khanna bought 3.6% stake in Pondy Oxides & Chemicals Ltd during the Mar-22 quarter adding 2.11 lakh shares worth Rs.15.3 crore.

5) The investor bought 1.0% stake in Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd during the Mar-22 quarter adding 9.89 lakh shares worth Rs.12.5 crore.

6) Dolly Khanna bought 1.4% stake in Goa Carbons Ltd during the Mar-22 quarter adding 1.26 lakh shares worth Rs.6.6 crore.

Let us now turn to the stock accretions to her existing portfolio of equities. There were about 12 stocks in which Dolly Khanna added to her positions in the Mar-22 quarter. Here is an update on the stock wise accretions of the Dolly Khanna portfolio.

a) She raised her holding in Prakash Pipes Ltd by 100 basis points from 1.4% to 2.4% during the Mar-22 quarter.

b) Dolly Khanna raised her holding in Butterfly Gandhimathi Ltd by 40 basis points from 1.4% to 1.8% during the Mar-22 quarter.

c) She raised her holding in Ajanta Soya Ltd by 40 basis points from 1.1% to 1.5% during the Mar-22 quarter.

d) Dolly Khanna raised her holding in Simran Farms Ltd by 30 basis points from 1.7% to 2.0% during the Mar-22 quarter.

e) The investor raised her holding in Rama Phosphates Ltd by 30 basis points from 2.3% to 2.6% during the Mar-22 quarter.

f) Dolly Khanna raised her holding in Polyplex Corporation Ltd by 20 basis points from 1.1% to 1.3% during the Mar-22 quarter.

g) She raised her holding in Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd by 20 basis points from 1.5% to 1.7% during the Mar-22 quarter.

Apart from the above, Dolly Khanna also added to her holdings by 10 bps in a few stocks including RSWM Ltd, NDTV Ltd, Aries Agro Ltd, Nitin Spinners Ltd and Control Print.


What stocks did Dolly Khanna downsize in her portfolio in Q4?


There were a number of stocks in which Dolly Khanna has used higher levels to reduce her stake during the quarter. Here are some of the stocks where some significant reduction in stake was visible. 

1) Dolly Khanna reduced her holding in Talbros Automotive Components Ltd by 60 basis points from 1.7% to 1.1% during the Mar-22 quarter.

2) She also reduced her holding in KCP Ltd by 20 basis points from 3.9% to 3.7% during the Mar-22 quarter.

3) In the case of Monte Carlo Fashions, Dolly Khanna saw her stake fall from 1% to below 1%. Since 1% is the threshold for reporting holdings, it is not known whether she continues to hold any stake in the stock or not.

Apart from the above stocks, there were several stocks in which Dolly Khanna reduced holdings by about 10 basis points. These stocks include Deepak Spinners Ltd, NCL Industries Ltd, Rain Industries and Tinna Rubber, where the holdings were cut by around 10 bps by Dolly Khanna in the Mar-22 quarter.

Apart from the above additions and reductions reported, the investor held status quo on the other stocks in the portfolio.
