Anand Rathi Wealth IPO - Listing Day Performance

Anand Rathi Wealth had a decent listing on 14th December and listed at a premium of 9.09%, but closed the day with more modest gains. The stock did show a strong opening during the day but could not hold on to higher levels and weak markets only accentuated it. 

With 9.78 times subscription and consistent premium in the grey market, Anand Rathi Wealth was expected to list and trade at a mild premium. Here is the Anand Rathi Wealth listing story on 14-Dec.

The Anand Rathi IPO price was fixed at the upper end of the band at Rs.550 which was understandable considering that the issue was subscribed 9.78 times overall with robust contribution from retail and HNI segments. 

The price band for the IPO was Rs.530 to Rs.550. On 14th Dec, the stock of Anand Rathi Wealth listed on the NSE at a price of Rs.600, a premium of 9.09% above the issue price of Rs.550. On the BSE also, the stock listed at Rs.602.05 a premium of 9.46% over the issue price.

On the NSE, Anand Rathi Wealth closed on 14-Dec at a price of Rs.585, a first day closing premium of 6.36% on the issue price of Rs.550. However, the closing price was 2.50% below the listing price. 

On the BSE, the stock closed at Rs.583.50, a first day closing premium of 6.09% on the issue price, but 3.08% below the listing price. On both the exchanges, the stock listed at a premium to the issue price, but failed to hold on to the premiums, although it did close the day at a decent premium to the IPO price.

On Day-1 of listing, Anand Rathi Wealth touched a high of Rs.615 on the NSE and a low of Rs.565.55. The premium compressed through the day. On Day-1 of listing, the Anand Rathi Wealth stock traded a total of 139.31 lakh shares on NSE amounting to value of Rs.823.24 crore.  On 14-Dec, Anand Rathi Wealth was the tenth most active share on NSE by traded value.

On the BSE, Anand Rathi Wealth touched a high of Rs.614.95 and a low of Rs.566.10. On BSE, the stock traded a total of 8.87 lakh shares amounting to value of Rs.52.56 crore. It was the seventh most active share on the BSE also in terms of trading value.

At the close of Day-1 of listing, Anand Rathi Wealth had a market capitalization of Rs.2,428.31 crore with free-float market cap of Rs.509.94 crore.
