The shares of Hester Biosciences Ltd have surged about 10% and are trading at Rs 2161.5, as of 11:45 am. The stock opened at Rs 1930 and so far, has made an intraday high and low of Rs 2205 and Rs 1930, respectively. 

HBL is the country's largest poultry vaccine manufacturer and has around a 30% market share in India. It also produces animal vaccines and health products for animals and poultry. It has partnerships with organizations like Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, GALVmed, Golchha Organisation, Novapharma, etc. The company has a presence in over 30 countries and has a key market in India, Nepal, and Tanzania. 

FY22 was the most successful year for the company. The FY22 revenue stood at Rs 235 crore, a 9.18% YoY improvement, and a net profit at Rs 39 crore, an 11.42% increase from the net profit reported in FY21. For the latest June quarter, the company reported sales of Rs 50.7 crore and a net profit of Rs 3.56 crore. The company has ROE and ROCE of 16.1% and 13.9%, respectively, as per FY22. 

About the shareholding pattern, 53.73% stake of the company is owned by the promoters, 0.72% by FIIs, 0.04% by DIIs, and the rest 45.51% by the non-institutional investors. 

The company has a market capitalization of Rs 1851 crore and is currently trading at a PE multiple of 61.2x. The stock has a 52-week high and low of Rs 2950 and Rs 1930, respectively.
