Nifty 50 opened lower amid weak global cues. In this article, we have listed the top stocks witnessing price volume breakout.

Nifty 50 opened lower on Tuesday at 18,600.65 as against the previous day’s closing of 18,701.05. This was a result of weak global cues. On Monday, key Wall Street indices declined amid optimistic services data raising concerns regarding US Fed might hike interest rates for longer.

Nasdaq Composite plummeted 1.93%, Dow Jones was down 1.4%, and S&P 500 declined 1.79% in overnight trade. Asian markets on Tuesday traded lower, tracking the overnight trading activity on Wall Street.

At 11:22 a.m., Nifty 50 was trading at 18,614.4, down by 86.65 points or 0.46%. Broader market indices though trading lower, are trading in line with the frontline indices. Nifty Mid-Cap 100 index was down 0.48%, while the Nifty Small-Cap 100 index declined 0.34%.

On BSE, the advance-decline ratio was modest with 1742 stocks advancing, 1460 stocks declining and 167 stocks remaining unchanged. On the sectoral front, PSU banks and FMCG are the only two sectors trading in green. On the flip side, IT, pharma, retail and realty suffered the most.

According to the data as on December 5, FIIs were net sellers, whereas DIIs were net buyers. Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) sold stocks to the tune of Rs 1,139.07 crore. Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) bought stocks worth Rs 2,607.98 crore.
