The shares of AU Small Finance Bank Ltd are buzzing on the bourses today. At the closing bell, the shares of AU SFB were trading higher by 4.04%. Meanwhile, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex was up by 0.62%.
Last week, the company reported its results for the quarter and half year ending 30 September 2022. Looking at the results, during the quarter ending 30 September 2022, the bank’s total income increased by 40% YoY to Rs 2240 crore as compared to Rs 1597 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. The bank’s net interest income (NII) during the quarter rose by 43.8% YoY to Rs 1083 crore as compared to Rs 753 crore in the corresponding quarter, of the previous year. The profit after tax (PAT) stood at Rs 343 crore, a growth of as against Rs 279 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
AU Small Finance Bank Limited (AU Bank) is a scheduled commercial bank, a Fortune India 500 Company and the largest Small Finance Bank in the country. It has established operations across 980 banking touchpoints while serving 33.3 Lakh customers in 20 States and 2 Union Territories with an employee base of 28,677 employees.
The company is currently trading at a TTM PE of 31.20x against the industry PE of 20.88x. In FY22, the company delivered an ROE & ROCE of 16.5% and 14%, respectively. The company is a constituent of Group A stocks and commands a market capitalisation of Rs 40,798.71 crore.
Today, the scrip of AU Small Finance Bank opened at Rs 593, while the intra-day high and low stood at Rs 614.35 and Rs 593, respectively. So far 71,182 shares have been traded on the bourses. The stock has a 52-week high and low of Rs 732.90 and Rs 467.50, respectively on BSE.
