On Thursday morning, the benchmark equity indices were flat amidst positive global cues. The US equity indices have made a record comeback on the bourses in the month of July. The Dow Jones and tech-heavy Nasdaq gained by 0.15% and 1.58%, respectively. Shares in the Asia Pacific markets are bearish as the Hang Seng index fell by 1.37% and the Shanghai Composite index dipped by 0.42%. Meanwhile, Japan’s Nikkei Index was trading higher by 0.22%.
The Sensex is at 55,512.10, up by 107.74 points or 0.19% whereas the Nifty 50 is trading at 16,558.30, up by 37.45 points or 0.23%, since the last trading session. Nifty Bank was also up by 0.30% and trading at 36,078.80. BSE Midcap was trading at 23,608.09, up by 0.84% and BSE Smallcap was at 26,669.66 up by 0.72%.
The top gainers on the frontline indices this morning were IndusInd Bank, Hindalco Industries, Tata Consumer Products, UPL, and Adani Ports and SEZ. Whereas, the top losers were Tech Mahindra, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Reliance Industries, SBI Life Insurance Company, and HDFC Bank.
On the BSE, 1,838 shares have advanced, 852 shares have declined and 118 are unchanged. Also,140 stocks have hit their upper circuit and 60 stocks have hit their lower circuit. 72 scrips have hit their 52-week high price, whereas 17 stocks have gone their 52-week low price.
The top trending stocks on BSE this morning are Adani Enterprises, AU Small Finance Bank, Happiest Minds Technologies, ITC, IndusInd Bank, Wipro, Vedanta, and Brightcom Group.
The shares of Wipro, IndusInd Bank, Tata Communications, Vedanta, and SBI are the most traded stocks on the BSE today.
On the sectoral front, the stocks of Telecom, Realty, Capital Goods, Power and Private sector bank are seen gaining on the bourses.
