The Indian benchmark indices were trading higher with BSE Metals Index being the top-gaining sector, whereas BSE Oil & Gas Index was the top-losing sectoral index.

On Monday, the benchmark indices were trading higher with Sensex up around 390 points or 0.63% at 62,888 and the Nifty trading up by 111 points or 0.60% at 18,609.

About 2,046 shares have advanced, 1,249 have declined and 149 were unchanged on BSE.

Top Gainer & Losers on BSE:

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, IndusInd Bank and HDFC Bank were the top Sensex gainers today, while HCL Technologies Ltd, Maruti Suzuki Ltd and Sun Pharmaceuticals were the top Sensex loser.

The indices traded in a higher manner in the broader markets, with the BSE Mid-cap index up by 0.31% and the BSE Small-cap index up by 0.49%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers are Macrotech Developers Ltd and Power Finance Corporation Ltd, while the top small-cap gainers were Centum Electronics Ltd and Nucleus Software Exports Ltd.

The BSE Metals Index soared by 1.10%, led by Hindalco Industries and National Aluminium Ltd whereas BSE Oil & Gas Index plunged by 0.87% dragged down by Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Ltd and Adani Total Gas Ltd.
