The Indian benchmark indices were trading lower with BSE Realty Index shining among all the sectoral indices, up by 0.57%.

On Monday, the benchmark indices were trading lower with Sensex down around 446 points or 0.75% at 59,017.30, and the Nifty trading down by 145 points or 0.82% at 17,323.70.

Top Gainer & Losers on BSE: 

NTPC Ltd, Kotak Mahindra Bank and Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd were the top Sensex gainers today, while Tata Consultancy Services, Tata Motors Ltd and Infosys were the top Sensex losers.

The indices traded lower in the broader markets, with the BSE Mid-cap index plunging by 1.18% and the BSE Small-cap index down by 1.31%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Macrotech Developers and Canara Bank, while the top small-cap gainers were Olectra Energy and Jtekt India Ltd.

The indices were trading mixed on the sectoral front, with the BSE Realty Index leading the gainers and BSE IT Index leading the losers. The BSE Realty Index soared by 0.51%, led by Macrotech Developers Ltd and IB Real Estate Ltd while the BSE IT Index plunged by 2.01%, dragged down by Hindalco Steel and Jindal Steel.
