The Indian benchmark indices were trading higher with BSE Healthcare Index shining among all the sectoral indices.

On Friday, the benchmark indices were trading higher with Sensex up around 157 points or 0.26% at 59,763.71, and the Nifty trading up by 39 points or 0.21% at 17,544.90.

Top Gainer & Losers on BSE

Bajaj Finserv, Asian Paints and Nestle India were the top Sensex gainers today, while Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra and Tata Steel were the top Sensex losers.

The indices traded in a mixed manner in the broader markets, with the BSE Mid-cap index plunging by 0.09% and the BSE Small-cap index soring by 0.12%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Policy Bazaar and Dehlivery Ltd, while the top small-cap gainers were Olectra and IB Real Estate Ltd.

The indices were trading mixed on the sectoral front, with the BSE Healthcare Index leading the gainers and BSE Metals Index leading the losers. The BSE Healthcare Index soared by 1.31%, led by Dishman Carbogen and Sanofi India while the BSE Metals Index plunged by 2.01%, dragged down by Hindalco Steel and Jindal Steel.
