The Indian benchmark indices were trading higher with BSE Metals Index shining among all the sectoral indices, up over 1%.

On Thursday, the benchmark indices were trading higher with Sensex up around 110 points or 0.18% at 69,790.99, and the Nifty trading up by 39 points or 0.22% at 17,592.60.

Top Gainer & Losers on BSE:

Tech Mahindra, Tata Steel and HCL Technologies were the top Sensex gainers today, while Titan India, IndusInd Bank and Asian Paints were the top Sensex losers.

The indices traded in a mixed manner in the broader markets, with the BSE Mid-cap index plunging by 0.29% and the BSE Small-cap index soring by 0.12%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were CG Power and Jindal Steel, while the top small-cap gainers were Everest Canto Cylinders and Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores Ltd.

The indices were trading mixed on the sectoral front, with the BSE Metals Index leading the gainers and BSE Realty Index leading the losers. The BSE Metals Index soared by 1.31%, led by Tata Steel and Jindal Steel while the BSE Realty Index plunged by 0.48%, dragged down by Macrotech Developers Ltd and IB Real Estate.
