The Indian benchmark indices were trading higher and the sectoral indices were trading mixed with BSE Teck Index being the top-gaining sector today.

On Monday, the benchmark indices were trading higher with Sensex up around 190 points or 0.3% at 61,190.92, and the Nifty trading down by 44 points or 0.24% at 17,992.50.

Top Gainer & Losers on BSE:

Tech Mahindra, HCL Technologies and Power Grid Corporation were the top Sensex gainers today, while Nestle India, Tata Steel and Asian Paints were the top Sensex losers.

The indices traded in a flat manner in the broader markets, with the BSE Mid-cap index plunging by 0.10% and the BSE Small-cap index losing 0.06%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Adani Power and Delhivery Logistics, while the top small-cap gainers were Kirti Industries Ltd and EKI Energy Ltd.

The indices were trading mixed on the sectoral front, with the BSE Teck Index leading the gainers and BSE Healthcare Index leading the losers. The BSE Teck Index surged by 0.91%, led by Persistent and Tech Mahindra while the BSE Healthcare Index plunged by 0.44%, dragged down by Shilpa Medicare and Cipla Ltd.
