The Indian benchmark indices were trading lower with BSE Capital Goods Index shining among all the sectoral indices.

On Monday, the benchmark indices were trading lower with Sensex down around 250 points or 0.41% at 60,437.99, and the Nifty trading up by 75 points or 0.42% at 17,781.35.

Top Gainer & Losers on BSE:

Titan India, Bharti Airtel and L&T Ltd were the top Sensex gainers today, while Mahindra & Mahindra, Tata Steel and Infosys Ltd were the top Sensex losers.

The indices traded in a lower manner in the broader markets, with the BSE Mid-cap index plunging by 0.96% and the BSE Small-cap index down by 0.74%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Oil India Ltd and Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, while the top small-cap gainers were Dishman Carbogen Amics and Ingersoll Rand India Ltd.

The indices were trading mixed on the sectoral front, with the BSE Capital Goods Index leading the gainers and the BSE IT Index leading the losers today. The BSE Capital Goods Index increased by 0.62%, led by Hindustan Aeronautics and LT Ltd while the BSE IT Index fell by 1.60%, dragged down by Persistent Ltd and Coforge Ltd.
