The Indian benchmark indices were trading mixed with BSE Financial Services Index shining among all the sectoral indices.

On Friday, the benchmark indices were trading mixed with Sensex up around 179 points or 0.30% at 60,110.45, and the Nifty trading down by 16 points or 0.09% at 17,595.05.

Top gainers and losers of the session

Titan India, IndusInd Bank and HDFC Bank were the top Sensex gainers today, while Tata Steel, State Bank of India and Tech Mahindra Ltd were the top Sensex losers.

The indices traded in a negative manner in the broader markets, with the BSE Mid-cap index plunging by 1.58% and the BSE Small-cap index falling by 1.19%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Clean Science and Technology Ltd and Supreme India Lts, while the top small-cap gainers were Karnataka Bank Ltd and Aegis Logistics Ltd.

The indices were trading mixed on the sectoral front, with the BSE Financial Services Index leading the gainers and the BSE Utilities Index leading the losers today. The BSE Financial Services Index increased by 0.58%, led by Karnataka Bank and AAVAS Financiers Ltd while the BSE Utilities Index fell by 3.72%, dragged down by Adani Green Energy Ltd and Adani Transmission Ltd.
