Domestic benchmark indices were trading lower with the BSE Mid-cap index up 0.10% and the BSE Small-cap index up 0.29%.

On Thursday, the benchmark indices were trading flat with Sensex down around 173 points or 0.28% at 61,602 and the Nifty trading down by 50 points or 0.27% at 18,238. About 1,780 shares have advanced, 1,553 declined, and 125 are unchanged on the BSE.

Top gainers and losers On BSE Sensex Index are as follows: 
The top Sensex gainers were Bharti Airtel, ITC and Power Grid Corporation of India whereas the top Sensex losers were IndusInd Bank, Titan India and Tata Motors.

The BSE Telecommunication Index was the top gaining among the sectorial indices and BSE Metals Index was the top losing sector. The BSE Telecommunication Index soared 1.30%, led by Indus Towers Ltd and GTL Infrastructure Ltd while the BSE Metals Index was down 0.75% dragged down by Hindalco Industries and Jindal Steel Ltd.
