Domestic benchmark indices were trading higher with BSE Power Index outperforming the sectoral indices.

On Tuesday, the benchmark indices were trading higher with Sensex up around 158 points or 0.25% at 60,845.60, and the Nifty trading up by 34 points or 0.20% at 17,880.85. About 1,706 shares have advanced, 1,547 declined, and 164 are unchanged on the BSE.

Top gainers and losers On BSE Sensex Index are as follows: 
The top Sensex gainers were Tata Steel, NTPC Ltd and Power Grid Corporation whereas the top Sensex losers were Wipro India, Sun Pharmaceuticals and Bajaj FinServ.

The BSE Power Index was the top gainer on a sectoral basis, while the BSE Realty Index was the top loser. The BSE Power Index rose 1.35%, led by Adani Power and NTPC Ltd while the BSE Realty Index fell 0.64%, dragged by Prestige Estate Projects and IB Real-estate Developers.

The indices in the broader markets were trading higher, with the BSE Midcap index up 0.38 and the BSE Small cap index up 0.11%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Adani Power and General Insurance Corporation of India, while the top small-cap gainers were EKI Energy Services and Everest Kanto Cylinders.
