Domestic benchmark indices were trading higher with BSE Capital Goods Index trending among all sectoral indices. 

On Wednesday, the benchmark indices were trading higher with Sensex up around 333 points or 0.58% at 58,234, and the Nifty trading up by 96 points or 0.55% at 17,136.85. About 2,162 shares have advanced, 1,147 declined, and 122 are unchanged on the BSE.

Top gainers and losers On BSE Sensex Index are as follows:

The top Sensex gainers were L&T Ltd, Tata Steel and Kotak Mahindra Bank whereas the top Sensex losers were Bharti Airtel, Hindustan Unilever, and Nestle India.

The BSE Capital Goods Index was the top gaining among the sectorial indices and BSE Telecommunication Index was the top losing sector. The BSE Capital Goods Index soared 1.42%, led by GMR Airport Infrastructure and Elgi Equipments while the BSE IT Index was down 0.64% dragged by Bharti Airtel and Indus Tower.

The indices in the broader markets were trading higher, with the BSE Midcap index up 0.63% and the BSE Small cap index up 0.88%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Varun Beverages and GMR Airports Infrastructure while the top small-cap gainers were Kopran Ltd and Rama Phorspates.
