Domestic benchmark indices were trading down with the outperforming sectoral index being BSE Industrials.

On Friday, the benchmark indices were trading lower with Sensex down around 175 points or 0.29% at 60,631.29, and the Nifty trading up by 62 points or 0.33% at 17,833.75. About 792 shares have advanced, 698 declined, and 122 are unchanged on the BSE.

Top gainers and losers On BSE Sensex Index are as follows: 
The top Sensex gainers were Bajaj FinServ, L&T Ltd and Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd whereas the top Sensex losers were Tata Steel, HCL Technologies and Infosys.

On a sectoral basis, the BSE Industrials Index was the top gainer, while the BSE Utilities Index was the top loser. The BSE Industrials Index rose 0.84%, led by WPIL Ltd and Techno Engineering & Electric Ltd while the BSE Utilities Index fell 1.35%, dragged by Adani Transmission and Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.

The indices in the broader markets were trading mixed, with the BSE Midcap index down 0.30% and the BSE Small cap index up 0.16%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were CG Power and Aurobindo Pharmaceuticals, while the top small-cap gainers were Aarti Surficants and WPIL Ltd.
