Low Price Shares locked in Upper Circuit on July 22

Adani Enterprises trades at a 52-week high as domestic indices recoup gains.

Following the first-rate increase by the European Central Bank (ECB) in more than a decade and a reduction in bets on the size of US rate hikes, Asian markets were on track for their best week in months. The Nikkei 225 index of Japan gained and appeared to be headed for gains for the seventh day in a row. With a gain of 40 points, SGX Nifty signalled a favourable start for India's broader index.

At 11:50 am, the Nifty 50 was trading at the 16,669.05 level, rising by 0.38%. On the Nifty 50 index, the top gainers were UPL Ltd, Eicher Motors and Kotak Mahindra Bank whereas Infosys, NTPC Ltd and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd were the top losers of the session. Sensex was trading at a level of 55,861.04, advanced by 0.32%. The top gainers were Kotak Mahindra Bank, HDFC Bank and Titan whereas Infosys, NTPC Ltd and Tech Mahindra were the market draggers.

Most sectors were mixed, with the top losers of the session being BSE IT and BSE Teck, both of which lost more than 1%. Gains were seen in the banking and finance sectors. With its stock in an ‘uptrend,’ Adani Enterprises traded at a new 52-week high value.
