List of Top Gainer Penny Stocks: These Shares Gained Up To 20% on Thursday December 23

On December 23, the Indian equity market closed up on a positive note. BSE Realty is the top gainer and BSE Telecom is the top loser in today’s trade.

Today is the third day in a row where the Indian equity market closed up with a green mark. Besides, all sectoral indices closed on a positive note except for the telecom and metal sector.

In today’s trade Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex indices closed up by 117.15 points i.e., 0.69% and 384.72 points i.e., 0.68%, respectively. Stocks that supported BSE Sensex to pull the index up were Infosys Ltd, Bajaj Finance Ltd and HDFC Ltd. Stocks that dragged the BSE Sensex and Nifty 50 down were ICICI Bank Ltd, Bharti Airtel and Asian Paints Ltd. The BSE Sensex and Nifty 50 Index opened up by 0.49% and 0.56%, respectively from their previous close.

In Thursday's trading session the S&P BSE Realty, S&P BSE CPSE, S&P BSE PSU, S&P BSE Oil & Gas and S&P BSE Power were top gainers. BSE Realty index consisting of stocks such as Phoenix Mills Ltd, Macrotech Developers Ltd, Brigade Enterprises Ltd, Prestige Estates Projects Ltd, Sunteck Realty Ltd, Oberoi Realty Ltd, and Godrej Properties Ltd were the top gainers.

Today, only two sectoral indices closed down in red namely S&P BSE Telecom and S&P BSE Metal which were top losers in today’s trade. BSE Telecom index consisting stocks such as Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Ltd, GTL Infrastructure Ltd, Reliance Communications Ltd, Tejas Networks Ltd and Bharti Airtel Ltd.
