Today Indian equity market closed on a negative note. The Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex indices closed down by 9.65 points i.e., 0.06% and 12.17 points i.e., 0.02%, respectively. Stocks that supported BSE Sensex and Nifty 50 to pull the index up were TCS Ltd, HDFC Bank Ltd, Titan Company Ltd and HCL Tech Ltd. Stocks that dragged the BSE Sensex and Nifty 50 down were Reliance Industries Ltd, Bajaj Finance Ltd and Bajaj Finserv Ltd.

In Thursday's trading session S&P BSE Information Technology, S&P BSE TECk, S&P BSE Consumer Durables and S&P BSE Healthcare were top gainers. BSE Information Technology index consisting of stocks such as Cybertech Systems and Software Ltd, Intellect Design Arena Ltd, Quick Heal Technologies Ltd, Tanla Platforms Ltd and Suvidhaa Infoserve Ltd were the top gainers.

In today’s trade, S&P BSE Energy, S&P BSE Oil & Gas, S&P BSE Metal and S&P BSE Utilities index were top losers. BSE Energy index consisting of stocks such as Indraprastha Gas Ltd, Adani Total Gas Ltd, Savita Oil Technologies Ltd and Reliance Industries Ltd were the top losers.
