List of Top 10 Penny Stocks: These Shares Gained Up To 20% on Monday, January 03

On the first trading session of 2022, the Indian equity market closed up on a positive note. BSE Private Banks is the top gainer whereas, BSE Healthcare was the top loser.

In today’s trading session, the Indian equity market closed on a positive note. Besides, all sectoral indices closed with a green mark except the BSE Healthcare index.

Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex indices closed up by 271.65 points i.e., 1.57% and 929.40 points i.e., 1.60%, respectively. Stocks that supported BSE Sensex and Nifty 50 to pull the index up were HDFC Bank Ltd, ICICI Bank Ltd, Bajaj Finance Ltd, Reliance Industries Ltd and Bajaj Finserv Ltd. Whereas, stocks that dragged BSE Sensex and Nifty 50 down were M&M Ltd, Dr Reddy’s Lab Ltd and Tech Mahindra Ltd. Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex opened up by 0.19% and 0.09%, respectively from the previous close.

In Monday's trading session S&P BSE Private Banks, S&P BSE BANKEX, S&P BSE Finance, S&P and S&P BSE Metal were top gainers. BSE Private Banks index consisting of stocks such as Federal Bank Ltd, RBL Bank Ltd, ICICI Bank Ltd, HDFC Bank Ltd and AU Small Finance Bank Ltd were the top gainers.

Today, only one sectoral index closed on a negative note namely, the S&P BSE Healthcare index. BSE Healthcare index consisting of stocks such as Indoco Remedies Ltd, Sastasundar Ventures Ltd, Laurus Labs Ltd, J B Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals Ltd and Syngene International Ltd were the top losers.
