List of Top 10 Penny Stocks: These Shares Gained Up To 10% on Wednesday, January 12

On January 12, the Indian equity market closed up on a positive note. BSE Telecom is the top gainer whereas, BSE Consumer Durable was the top loser.

Today, the Indian equity market closed on a positive note for a fourth consecutive trading session. All, sectoral indices closed on a positive note except S&P BSE Consumer Durable and S&P BSE Healthcare index which closed on a negative note.

In today’s trade Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex indices closed up by 156.60 points i.e., 0.87% and 533.15 points i.e., 0.88%, respectively. Stocks that supported BSE Sensex and Nifty 50 to pull the index up were Reliance Industries Ltd, ICICI Bank Ltd, Infosys Ltd and Bajaj Finance Ltd. Whereas, stocks that dragged BSE Sensex and Nifty 50 down were Tata Consultancy Ltd, HDFC Bank Ltd and Titan Company Ltd. Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex opened up by 0.63% and 0.65%, respectively from their previous close.

In Wednesday's trading session S&P BSE Telecom, S&P BSE Power, S&P BSE Utilities, S&P BSE Energy and S&P BSE Realty were top gainers. BSE Telecom index consisting of stocks such as Vodafone Idea Ltd, Tata Communications Ltd, Tejas Networks Ltd, Bharti Airtel Ltd, Indus Towers Ltd and OnMobile Global Ltd were the index leaders.

S&P BSE Consumer Durable and S&P BSE Healthcare index closed in negative. BSE Consumer Durable index consisting of stocks such as Titan Company Ltd, Havells India Ltd, Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd, Bajaj Electricals Ltd and Whirlpool of India Ltd were the top laggards.
