The biggest gainer in the mid-cap segment for the week was Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd. Shares of this PSU rose by 33.07% for the week from the levels of Rs 77.53 to Rs 103.17. On Wednesday, the Finance Ministry approved the upgrade of Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) to Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE). RVNL, a public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Railways, will be the 13th Navratna among CPSEs.

The stock hit its 3-year low after the company purchased a 33.38% stake in Unichem Laboratories for a sum of up to Rs 1,034.06 crore (USD 126.3 million).
