The frontline index S&P BSE Sensex gained 1.43% or 841.45 points during the week and closed at 59,832.97 on April 7, 2023.

The positive rally was broad-based during the week with S&P BSE Mid Cap closing up by 1.19% at 24,351.06. The S&P BSE Small-Cap also ended at 27,725.34 gaining 2.85%.

The overall volume during the month was 12% higher on a MoM basis, while it declined 4% on a YoY basis.

The has appointed Rajan Gupta as additional director and the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer for five years effective from April 4, 2023. Rajan Gupta will take over the top post from Rakesh Khanna who resigned as a director and from the position of Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the company, effective from the close of business hours on April 3, 2023.
