List of top 5 gainers and losers in the midcap and smallcap segment for the week from April 17 to April 20, 2023.

The frontline index S&P BSE Sensex fell by 0.46% or 278.40 points during the week and closed at 59,632.35 on April 20, 2023.

On the other hand, S&P BSE Midcap closed in green during the week, up by 0.31% at 24,935.20. The S&P BSE Small Cap also ended at 28,310.02 gaining 0.44%.

Shares of rice producing companies have been on the rise after a report by research agency Fitch Solutions said that the global market for the commodity will log its biggest shortfall in two decades this year.
