Agreement for Tolling and Operations & Maintenance
The IRB Golkonda Expressway, a Project SPV of India’s leading and the largest integrated multi-national infrastructure player in the highways sector, IRB Infrastructure Developers (IRB Infra), has signed the Concession Agreement with Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) for Tolling and Operations & Maintenance of Jawaharlal Nehru Outer Ring Road, popularly known as Hyderabad ORR in the State of Telangana on Toll-Operate Transfer (TOT) basis.
The Project will have a toll plaza at 22 interchanges, 8 major bridges, 122 minor bridges, a flyover, 4 railway over bridges, 168 underpasses, and a large number of culverts & causeways. The total service road length is 294 km. The Project has close loop tolling. IRB is to pay an upfront Concession Fee of Rs 7,380 crore to HMDA for a revenue-linked Concession Period of 30 years. IRB endeavours to implement this Project through its Associate viz. IRB Infrastructure Trust.
