Sensex and Nifty ended marginally higher in a volatile trading session.

Today, the Nifty IT index rose 2.07% to 31432.45. Over the last month, the index has dropped 14.00%. Tech Mahindra Ltd increased by 4.17%, Infosys Ltd increased by 3.23%, and Coforge Ltd increased by 2.79%. In comparison to the 14.13% growth in the benchmark Nifty 50 index over the last year, the Nifty IT index has increased 22.00%. The Nifty Realty index fell 1.62% on the day, while the Nifty Services Sector index rose 0.78%. In today's broad markets, the Nifty 50 gained 0.03% to close at 16682.65, while the SENSEX gained 0.06% to conclude at 55702.23.

Tech Mahindra (up 4.17%), Infosys (up 3.23%), Coforge (up 2.79%), HCL Technologies (up 2.59%), L&T Technology Services (up 2.23%), Wipro (up 1.91%), Mindtree (up 1.19%), Tata Consultancy Services (up 0.97%), Larsen & Toubro Infotech (up 0.57%), and Mphasis (up 0.35%) all advanced among the Nifty IT index' Tata Power increased by 1.06%.

SJVN, a hydroelectric power generation firm, awarded Tata Power Solar Systems, its fully owned subsidiary, a single solar EPC order of 1GW (gigawatt) for roughly Rs.5,500 crore. After the company's consolidated net profit climbed to Rs.4645.47 crore in Q4 FY22, compared to Rs.13.13 crore in Q4 FY21, Adani Power struck an upper circuit of 5% at Rs.279.50.

In the fourth quarter, net sales were Rs.10,597.78 crore, up 66.28% from Rs.6,373.60 crore in the same time the previous year. The stock of Larsen & Toubro (L&T) increased by 0.28%. On Thursday, the firm announced that its railway branch had been awarded a contract by the National High-Speed Rail Corporation (NHSRCL) to build 116 KMS of the high-speed ballast-free track.
