Today, the Nifty Private Bank index fell 0.87% to 18942.7. The index has increased by 6.00% in the last month. Bandhan Bank Ltd lost 2.19%, HDFC Bank Ltd fell 1.91%, and Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd fell 1.23% among the members.

In today's broad market, the Nifty 50 was down 0.31% to settle at 17475.65, while the SENSEX fell 0.41% to 58338.93. The larger market, on the other hand, defied the trend. The S&P BSE Mid-Cap index decreased by 0.21%, while Small-Cap index increased by 0.27%. The market breadth, which indicates the market's overall health, was positive. On the Bombay Stock Exchange, 1,854 shares climbed and 1,544 declined, 131 shares remained unchanged. Due to the NSE's weekly index options expiry, trading remained turbulent.

On the BSE, shares of Hariom Pipe Industries touched an upper circuit of 5% at Rs.224.70, reflecting a 46.86% premium over the issue price of Rs.153. Anand Rathi Wealth's stock soared 8.22% as the company's consolidated net profit increased by 256.66% to Rs.35 crore in Q4 March 2022 over Q4 March 2021, thanks to a 49% increase in total income to Rs.115 crore.

On the 14th and 15th of April, the Indian equity markets will be closed for Mahavir Jayanti/ Dr Baba Saheb Ambedkar Jayanti and Good Friday, respectively.
