Domestic benchmark indices were trading higher while the outperforming sectoral index was BSE Teck.

On Wednesday, the benchmark indices were trading higher with Sensex up around 4433 points or 0.73% at 60,728.29, and the Nifty trading up by 144 points or 0.81% at 17,865.75. About 1,765 shares have advanced, 1,504 declined, and 174 are unchanged on the BSE.

The top Sensex gainers were Ultra Tech Cement, Infosys and Tata Consultancy Ltd whereas the top Sensex losers were Hindustan Unilever, L&T Ltd and Bharat Airtel.

On a sectoral basis, the BSE Teck Index was the top gainer, while the BSE Realty Index was the top loser. The BSE Tech Index rose 1.59%, led by Coforge Ltd and Sterlite Technologies Ltd while the BSE Realty Index fell 0.87%, dragged by The Phoenix Mills Ltd and Sobha Ltd.

The indices in the broader markets were trading higher, with the BSE Midcap index up 0.51% and the BSE Small cap index up 0.55%, respectively. The top mid-cap gainers were Policy Bazaar and Adani Power, while the top small-cap gainers were Pearl Global Industries Ltd and 63 Moons Technologies Ltd.
