Solar Industries Ltd, an S&P BSE 500 company, has delivered multibagger returns to its shareholders in the last two years. During this period, the company’s share price jumped from Rs 1054.55 on 03 December 2020 to Rs 3710.25 on 29 November 2022, an increase of 251% in the two-year holding period.

Solar Industries Ltd is an integrated global player in explosives. The company operates in two segments- industrial explosives and defence. In the industrial explosives segment, the company manufactures packaged explosives, bulk explosives and initiating systems. On the other hand, in the defence segment, the company manufactures UAS and drones, ammunition, military explosives, bombs & warheads, integration of rockets, counter-drone system (CDS), etc.

In the recent quarter Q3FY23, on a consolidated basis, the company’s top line increased by 98.99% YoY to Rs 1566.60 crore. Subsequently, the bottom line increased by 152.3% YoY to Rs 188.60 crore.

The company is currently trading at a TTM PE of 54.45x against the industry PE of 29.36x. In FY22, the company delivered an ROE & ROCE of 26% and 25%, respectively. The company is a constituent of Group A stocks and commands a market capitalization of Rs 33,944.63 crore.

Today, the scrip of Solar Industries Ltd opened at Rs 3730.05 and has touched a high and low of Rs 3761.25 and Rs 3730.05, respectively. So far, 1044 shares have been traded on the bourses.

At 1.55 pm, the shares of Solar Industries Ltd were trading at Rs 3819.55, an increase of 2.95% from the previous day’s closing price of Rs 3710.25 on BSE. The stock has a 52-week high & low of Rs 4,269.40 and Rs 2,160.05, respectively on BSE.
