Indian benchmark indices are rising, with Bajaj Finserv leading the way with gains of over 5%. 

Tuesday's opening session witnessed a continuation of Monday's gains as Indian headline indices climbed. The indices rose as gains in consumer durables, metals, and basic materials offset slight declines in the telecom, utility, and oil & gas sectors.

As shares of Bajaj Finserv became ex-bonus and ex-split starting today, the stock became the top Sensex gainer, surging over 5%. The company has announced a stock split in a ratio of 1:5 and bonus shares in a ratio of 1:1, respectively.

At 11:15 am, the BSE Sensex rose 0.63%, reaching a level of 60,495. The Nifty 50 index advanced 0.64% to 18,050 level. The top gainers on the Sensex were Bajaj Finserv, Titan and Bharti Airtel whereas Tata Consultancy Services, HCL Technologies and UltraTech Cement were the top losers.

In the broader markets, the BSE Midcap index jumped 0.45% and was trading at a level of 26,286 while the Smallcap index climbed 0.46% and was trading at a level of 29,960.
